My primary goal in all of my classes is for students to use the sociological imagination to understand the impact of social structure on opportunities and constraints in everyday lived experiences. Developing the sociological imagination and understanding social structure are essential elements of my sociology courses. In my courses, I use multiple pedagogical methods to achieve these goals. Through these courses, students are able to articulate privileges and disadvantages that are embedded into the core of society.
